Norton, Spybot, malwarebytes, Super AntiSpyware, PC Doctor, they all have no problems with it. No malware programs see it as a threat, either. Its up and running within 5 seconds, and works great. Except for the driver, the file wasn't there where the guides said it would be. Easy as, turn on DS3 controller, load as Xbox 360 controller, Enable. I'm not sure if installing PSN installed/updated the drivers on my controller, or not, so I tried doing it manually. I'm at my wit's end right now, with no idea what to try. I tried re-installing SCP, Steam loses sight of the controller and yet SCP sees the input just fine in test mode. Now Steam recognizes the device immediately no issue, but doesn't receive any of the input!! Model No. Uninstalled SCP, downloaded and installed PSNow, enabled the Steams controller software. I looked around and seems like many people had the same problem, so I followed in their footsteps. It does this with multiple different games. It is usually located near the center or bottom of the controller. Mid-game, my controller (Afterglow PS3 USB controller) suddenly reversed the triggers with the bumpers (pressing LT activates LB, pressing LB activates LT, pressing RT activates RB, pressing RB activates RT). However, Steam does not recognize the controller at all, and inputs are not registered in-game. Locate the small pairing button on the back of your Afterglow controller. Thus I know the device works, the inputs work, and everything should be fine. I used to use the SCP program, which still works wonderfully in the sense that in the test window it registers every button press as it did before. It’s just a shame the rest of the controller’s modules don’t share that level of quality.Hello, I used to play many games with my PS3 controller, but after not using it for a while and trying again, it wouldn't work anymore. I found myself assigning frequent inputs to these buttons, such as accessing secondary hotbars in Final Fantasy 14 Online, and felt like this was something the Afterglow Wave handled very well. You can also connect PS3 controller to Windows and macOS systems. When a PS3 controller won’t sync, turn controller over > locate reset button > insert paperclip into hole. The one saving grace here is those competent back paddle buttons, both of which feel nicely tactile and satisfying to press. Connect USB to controller > connect other end to PS3 > press PS button > wait for lights to stop flashing. This proved to be an issue in racers like Forza Horizon 5, and shooters including Halo Infinite, where trigger management is especially important. They offer slightly more resistance than what I’m used to, especially compared to the pack-in Xbox Wireless Controller and the manufacturer’s own Victrix Gambit. Almost every module on the controller, including sticks, bumpers and triggers, all feel unnaturally stiff. The controller’s modules are underwhelming overall. The included USB-C cable is at least of a decent length (10ft), so you should have no trouble sitting comfortably during play. Wireless functionality would of course have been welcome, but that is a rarity at this price point. Turn on the PS3, connect the controller to the PS3, hold the PS button on the controller, then restart your PS3. The most obvious way is to get a paper clip, then press the reset button with it. Being a wired only controller, you can expect minimal input lag when using the PDP Afterglow Wave, which is always nice. Maybe open the controller up, disconnect the battery, then put it back in, or see if there is any liquid in the controller.
